The Greater Boston Chapter hosted a social on January 16th, 2020 at X1 in Braintree, MA. A nice group gathered with 23 individuals taking part in the kart racing. The racing was fast and furious,,, well for us. With speeds up to 45 MPH on their indoor track, everyone had their heart pumping. The top 12 racers with the best times in the qualifiers then competed in the Grand Prix. A fun evening overall. Many members indicated they want to go back… Maybe we can organize such a race more than once every 10 years. There are great suggestions and feedback the GBC Leadership team will be acting on shortly. Some common themes of the survey include; using social media to increase membership engagement, consider breweries as venues for technical meetings, too many proposed topics to list but all point to emerging issues and ongoing safety challenges for organizations, create community volunteer opportunities for members, establish mentorship program for new members and create better networking opportunities.
